Just Kidding

So I thought I could only blog about once a week, which still might be the case, but I decided I could jump on here really quick and blog for you today.

I run another 5k tomorrow and teach 2 Zumba events.  One Zumba event and the 5k are part of the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce Get Up and Get Out event.  The other Zumba event is for Lawerance Co. Relay for Life in Ohio.  So my day will be pretty packed full of exercise.

I am looking forward to the workout tomorrow, and will plan my intake accordingly.  The issue I am having right now though is that I am not seeing the results of my hard work just yet.  My summer clothes do not fit.  My waist is still larger from having Zumba Baby, and these last 10lbs just seem to want to hang around.  It is hard not to get frustrated to the point that I want to give up/give in.

Yes, my diet is a struggle.  I am generally so busy that it seems easier to eat out.  Not because of time as much as it's because I don't feel like cooking.  You may ask why I don't buy frozen meals or something easy like that, truth be told "diet" foods that are prepackaged are loaded with chemicals, sodium, and preservatives which........can actually cause you to gain weight.  Here in lies my problem, the same goes for fast food. 

It is frustrating, will power is necessary.  I also can't wait until the summer so that things can calm down a bit.  Like I said in my last post, I know it isn't easy.  I live in the real world, have a real life, with a family, career, bills, and everything else.  I hope that means that I can be an example for others around me to see that a healthy lifestyle can be achieved even if you have the candle burning at both ends :)
